Who We  Are

Our Story
and Values

Our History

It all started with a simple, recurring thought: "It shouldn't be this hard."

My name is Laura Ochoa, and I'm the founder of The Guild for HER. Throughout my career, I've had the familiar experience of being the only woman at the table, of having a big idea but not knowing the next step, and of wishing for a network of peers who just got it.

The more I talked to other women, the clearer it became that I wasn't alone. In every corner of our community, from the university halls to the downtown storefronts, incredible women were building, creating, and leading. They were launching side hustles from their kitchen tables, managing teams in growing companies, and dreaming up the next big idea. But for too many, that journey felt like a solitary one.

The Guild for HER was created to answer this collective need. It’s the resource I always wished I had, built for the community we all deserve. We believe that the answers to our biggest questions are often sitting in the same room with us, and supporting each other.

The Guild is that room.

It is a dedicated space for the women of our region to share knowledge through workshops, forge powerful connections, and access the practical tools needed to thrive. We are not just building businesses and careers; we are building a stronger, more equitable future for our entire community, one connection at a time.

Our Vision

We envision a world where women have equal access to resources, networks, and opportunities—where their talents are celebrated, their voices are amplified, and their leadership transforms communities and industries.

Our Purpose

Our purpose is to equip, connect, and elevate women through mentorship, professional development, and entrepreneurship support. By creating a supportive ecosystem of learning, networking, and growth, we help women build thriving careers, businesses, and futures.
